Girls Day Out!

When it comes to the weekend, most of us have the "perfect day" in mind, you know what I mean? Like, if you (ladies) had the day to yourself because your husband volunteered to spend the day cleaning your house (okay lets say yard or garage) and then gave you a credit card, and said that he hoped you would enjoy yourself, what would you do?! Well, Paul didn't know what he was signing up for, but I'm sure glad he is so great!
So, I made plans with my cousin Megan Biggs & her mom, Aunt Stacey to spend the day going out for lunch, getting pedicures, and then shopping at the mall! Oh my goodness, it was so great! The pedicure was amazing, and my favorite part is a toss up between sitting in the massage chair, or seeing the end result of my toes all painted pretty! We girls had so much fun catching up on life! And I got to know Meg's boyfriend Brandon a little bit better too, and he is a great guy, very kind, funny, and laid back. He and Meg spent tons of time holding Brightlie. Go Megan! - he is a a winner, for sure! So, while shopping I bought myself an easter skirt, a matching shirt, and a cute pair of flip-flops since spring is almost here, and didn't even look at the price tags. Ever heard that song, "Throw it in the bag"? Great song. . .
The only hard part of today was that I had Brightlie with me . . . now you all know that there is no one I would rather spend the day with doing girlie stuff (I gotta teach her, right?) and yet, it was a disaster! Poor girl had an upset tummy or something because she cried the entire time! She was so sad, and I swear the whole mall probably could hear her at some moments, but oh, it made me so sad and stressed, because I couldn't figure out what was wrong, and we were trying to have fun and it just wasn't quite working. . . normally I take her shopping all the time and she is fine, so I'm not sure what it was today. . . I fed her, changed her diaper, had several toys for her to play with, had her dressed in a super cute outfit, and still she cried and cried...
Anyways, it still was a fabulous day! The perfect way to spend a Sat. afternoon. Oh, and for anyone who was wondering, I got to officially swipe my new credit card today- it was GREAT! I told Megan we need to make this a frequent occasion. :)
