Out & About w/ Friends!

This week was filled with fun good fun, good times, and great friends!   Summer is slowly winding down,
and school will be starting for Paul this week.  Nothing too exciting, but still, it was a fun week.
Paul built a shelf in our closet, i fell in love with Gap Kids (bought some fall clothes for B)
and Brightlie is growing taller and thinning out each day.  :)
Life is good, and all is well in the Reidhead Home!

Brightlie & I always enjoy our MomsClub activities, and this week
we enjoyed cooking club at Rebecca's home, where the kiddos got to
eat frozen bananas, rolled in chocolate and nuts - YUM!

This week I got fancy with B's hair i think it turned out AMAZING!  :)
(so glad she sat still long enough for me to do it)

Paul. Brightlie. Kristi.
Friday night date was combined with the Stradling's at Red Robin-
we love a good burger!
(and then Sat. night we went to their house for a movie-
good times with our fav friends!)

 Me & Tiffany- Besties!!!!!
(since the 4th grade, and going strong!)

Brightlie- enjoying a lemon!  yuck! but she truly didn't mind- crazy girl!

Sat. night for Mom's Club it was Mom's Night Out- so a few of us
hit up Uncle Bears for appetizers and dessert- it was great
to get dressed up and just enjoy a girls night!
(above: Me, Mary, Rebecca)

Last, but not least, my sister came in town for a few days from CA to visit!
Brightlie liked having so much attention (not that she doesn't
get enough already) & the two of them had fun reading books, playing, etc.
Steph is in the Navy & is being deployed to Afghanistan in a few weeks, so it
was special to have some time with her before she leaves us
for an entire yr.!

Back to School!

Oh no, August is here!  That means a few changes around our home, mostly being that Paul will soon begin his last yr. @ ASU (hurray for graduation in May!).  He will be super, busy, but we are excited for him to be nearing the finish line!  Brightlie and I have a blast each week, and this week was no exception!
Below are the adventures from the past 2 weeks! Get ready for a picture overload....  :)

Brightlie LOVES to color!  She loves to lay on the floor, color,
and enjoy a good Disney movie.

B is getting pretty good at drinking from a cup- she usually prefers
them to a sippy when she is in her high chair  :)

My lil angel- such a sweetie at church...
we made it through an entire sacrament meeting last week!
(yes i busted out my camera during the song- don't judge!)

Brightlie & daddy out playing in the crazy rain during the monsoon-
B loved the rain and thought it was so fun!
(her first time dancing/playing in the rain! She and daddy were having a blast
jumping in all the puddles!)

Goofy girl!  Wanted to wear mom's glasses- silly  :)

Peek-a-boo!  B's favorite game- hiding in the shower curtain!

SO PRETTY!  :)  my cute curly haired child.

It's fun to wear mom's shoe!!!
(even though I buy so many cute little shoes for B, guess she likes my flip flops more)

And daddy's socks- she loves to wear one sock on her leg- go figure- silly child!

We LOVE the pool-and getting our tan on!!! Gotta love the summer sun!

Finally, although the past 2 weeks were fun- my mom's birthday was also this week and made for some bittersweet tears.  I love my mom so much and miss her greatly.  Sometimes i feel so alone, raising a child an being a mom myself with no guidance.  But, i am grateful for all that she taught me and for the testimony she gave of the importance of being a loving, involved, stay-at-home mother.  Her example has taught me so much, and i look forward to telling Brightlie all about the wonderful woman she was/is!
