"Great Great Aunt Lavell & me!"
"Mommy & me, matching in pink!"

Okay, so Saturday's are always crazy at our house, but yesterday's was a non-stop fun-tastic day! So, Brightlie and I woke up early to head to Hobby Lobby to get a bridal shower gift for my cousin Nicole (9:30Am). The we rushed to the shower, which was beautiful, and was outside which was perfect considering that the weather was great! It was fun to see all the family, including my Great Aunt Lavelle, who is one of my favorite people! And I finally got a pic of her a B, which I have been waiting for! All my cousins were funny as ever, talking about 'hubby drama', baby wanting/having, and all other fun topics that made you smile. It was like a clip out of "Mormon desperate housewives". Haha. Anyways, next B and I headed to cousin Jack's B-day party, since he just turned 2! It was fun, and Hina (Jack's mom) had the park area set up very cute. Then, it was off to Dance rehearsal, where my HDC Dancers (hendrix dance co.) had practice from 12-2pm, and they did a great job! Their concert is this week, so it is getting to be crunch time! I work them hard, but I try to make it fun, and help them display their amazing talent! Then we (Paul came too) headed to the Sanchez Family's home, where we were celebrating Evan's 5th birthday! I used to babysit for their family, and it is nice to have them as such great friends still. The party was great- Alissa (Evan's Mom) had the party decorated so cute- the whole backyard was decked in a super hero theme- and she even had batman and spider-man there in full costume! (Evan loves them!) There were lots of friends and family there, and everyone was having a great time. Brightlie got to get in the pool, which was sooo fun! She loved it and her bathing suit was so cute! (2:30-4:00pm) After Evan's party, we rushed home to have the missionaries over for dinner, which was fun because they were pretty chill, and had some fun stories to share(5-7:30pm). Finally, the night ended with us heading over to Tiffany and Richard's home for a small get together. It was fun to see the twins, and then we also got to meet Ashley Rogers' new boyfriend, David Knell. He seemed really cool, so I am happy for them! Cute cute couple! We had brownies and watched "the Blind Side" which is a great movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. It was certainly a crazy rushed day, but B was pretty happy the whole day, and I love taking her around with me. She just keeps getting bigger and cuter, and she loves looking around and discovering this big world, so it is fun to take her along. Can't wait to see what this next weekend brings! :)

Lil Blowfish

Sitting on my own!

My blowfish face!

"Mommy, I think the camera loves me!
(but I'm not so sure I love it... )"
-B

Every week, we find Brightlie to be more lovable, adorable, and full of funny expressions, as she learns and explores this exciting new world! Well, over the past week she has added 2 new funny habits to her daily routine.
1st- she is our lil Blowfish! Yes, she has been doing this funny thing where she puffs her cheeks outs really big and purses her lips together (or bites her bottom lip) . . . then she lets the air out and is joyous over the noise and (I'm guessing) the air that comes out of her lips. It is SOOOOOO funny to see her do it!
2nd- we have been trying to help her sit up! She sits just fine tucked into the corner of our couch, but she struggles on the floor by herself. She is kinda getting it, but her balance certainly needs work- she falls right over after only 2 seconds! But, I'm sure the Princess will have it down in no time! :)

Crafty decor

So, anyone who knows me knows that although I am not the most crafty, creative person in the world, I enjoy doing crafts (after getting the idea from Hobby Lobby, a baby boutique, or mostly from Leigh). My great love in life though when it comes to creativity is home decor. I like making my home presentable, with nice pictures, vinyl wall lettering, etc. So, my latest creation was wall lettering to go above our large entertainment center. It reads . . . CINEMA! Cute huh? Oh, and also, for anyone who saw my not-so-great bow board for Brightlie's room... I re-did it and it looks so cute now. (p.s.- the bow board only has a few of the numerous bows Brightlie owns- I wanted you to actually see it before I covered it up) :)
Anyways, I had fun. And I think these 2 crafts turned out great, which makes me happy. Hope this week is going well for everyone!

Happy belated Easter!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

The Easter Bunny brought Brightlie a book, socks, & an outfit!

"Happy Easter Great Grandma Reidhead!"

"Maybe I'll keep this look- adorable bunny?"

Brightlie with her new Easter dress

I made Brightlie's Easter dress! My first official sewing project! (BIG thanks to Marian Reidhead a.k.a. Paul's Mom- she helped teach me to pick out fabric & a pattern, learn to sew, and helped finish the dress, & it was a success!)

"Look at all this stuff!"

Nana Biggs, Me, B, and Paul at Olive Garden- YUMMY!

Nana & Brightlie! (She's Nana's favorite!)

Hello friends! Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Easter! We had fun, enjoying time with family, and taking lots of fun pics of Brightlie! We spent most of the afternoon at Paul's family's, eating yummy food, watching Conference, etc. No egg hunt or anything, maybe next yr. . . . anyways, it was still fun, but very chill. And Brightlie was stylin' high fashion in the adorable lil dress I made her (with Marian's help)- purple & white polka dot, and of course a head bow to match- you gotta love it!

So, tonight we went out to dinner with 'Nana' (Grandma Biggs) to Olive Garden! We always enjoy spending time with her, so it was a nice treat, especially since Paul had spent the whole day doing hw, and will continue to throughout the night- he's planning to pull an all-nighter- no fun!

Finally- LEIGH- I have a big announcement! (no, not that kind . . . )
Brightlie rolled over! I was so excited! She HATES tummy time, but I've been helping her roll over the past two nights and guess what- she finally did it 100% on her own tonight! I got her "2nd time ever rolling over" on film! Such a big girl! Take a look!

*brightlie's new outfit for the day- cute in orange ("I heart ice cream")!
* Holding onto daddy while at dinner and wanting our food
* Daddy and B at Macaroni Grill
* Delicious pasta!
*Paul & me- Happy 2 yr. Anniversary dinner!

So, we are very happy to announce the following calculated figures concerning our relationship status:

9 yrs. = Friends
7 yrs. = Dating ( well, 7yrs. if you include the mission . . if not, then 5 yrs.)
2 yrs. = Married!!!!!

Cool huh?! Crazy how time flies when you're having fun! So since our official anniversary is Sunday (4/4/08) which is General Conference & Easter this yr., we decided to celebrate this weekend! Friday night Paul and I went to a delicious dinner at MACARONI GRILL, our favorite place and also just so happens to be where Paul and I went on our very first date! It was soooo good!

Then Saturday (tonight) we left Brightlie with Auntie Karen Nicoll (Amanda's mom) and went out for a surpirse activity. I'd been trying to guess all night, especially when Paul said we were taking the light rail to get there (which neither of us had done before). We ended up at US Airways Center where we watched a live performance of Disney On Ice!!! It was so awesome! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy opened the show, and then short performances from various Disney movies came to life via the skaters! It was really neat! (Sorry the video seems far away- my camera has a lousy zoom, even though we were fairly close, being on the 10th row!) Anyways, it was a geat anniversary, and we look forward to many more years of fun together!
