Friends + fun = fantastic week!

Seriously, friends make life worth living... guess that is why i married my best friend!
But while i can't spend every second of the day with PAUL, that is why i have my girl-friends...
they brighten my day, lift my spirits, make me laugh & are always there for me!
I am glad Brightlie is learning at a young age the value of good friends!

Ellie . Kate . Brightlie . Mikayla
(The four of them had so much fun the other day!  What a
stunning group of little girls!)

Brightlie & Mikayla holding hands while in the car- so stinkin cute!!!
Brightlie and I love going on playdates and eating at Paradise Bakery
with Mikayla and her mom Elisha! Oh my dear friend Elisha-
I couldn't go an entire week without talking with her cuz we always have so much to
laugh & chat about!

Brightlie and I always enjoy Mom's Club events... this week
they planted jelly beans and WOW!  they grew into huge lolly pops!

 Me & Tiffany
Best friends since the 4th grade- crazy how time flies!
We had a blast doing a last min. pampering session before the arrival of
our babies.  We got our nails done, ate at Mi Amigos (yum!), enjoyed a
night off from our kids, and enjoyed laughing and chatting!

"BEFORE" pic
This week I got brave and decided i needed a new hairstyle before baby #2 arrives.
So, I met up with my friend Allison who does hair at Cosmos Salon, and
she highlighted it and chopped it into a short stylish new look!

 "AFTER" pic-
I like it!  I have bangs! Thanks Allison- you sure are talented!!!
And i've been getting compliments, so i think that means it is a winning look :)

No doubt, Brightlie is one of my bestest friends!
I sure do love all the time we spend together- just look at that cute face!

Visting Tiffany and her sweet baby boy Colter!
It was so fun to see her and cuddle her precious new baby!
We have been best friends since 4th grade & i love that we get to experience
so many special moments in each others' lives!

36 weeks & counting

36 WEEKS!!!
Today was the last "big" ultrasound before baby girl #2 arrives, and here is the report:
Baby is looking great- very healthy, good bones & heart.
No longer breech, she is finally head down!
Measuring about 35 weeks in size (doc. says that's good for my body type)....
so she is currently about 6lbs- Dr. Beck thinks she will be just under 7lbs. at birth.
I am dilated to nearly 3cm and 60% effaced.
Planned induction is set for April 19th, if she doesn't come sooner
(although my due date is April 26th).

Me & my prego belly... chillin in the car on the way to my morning appt.

Brightlie and mommy!  She loves coming with me to the doctors.

Seeing baby on the screen... she is head down!!!!  HURRAY!!!!
(she has been breech for almost the entire pregnancy!)

My sexy Man.... a.k.a. Baby Daddy!  hahaha- so
glad I have such a loving and supportive hubby who is
super excited about having another little girl!

Soon -to- be BIG SIS!
Brightlie loves telling people that there
is a baby in mommy's tummy!

Spring Break!!!

This week has been full of events, even though we didn't 'go' anywhere.  Paul was on Spring Break, and although he didn't get a done of time for vacationing, we still had fun.
MON & TUES.- Paul went to UT for a job interview... the company was crummy, so we will NOT be moving to UT. Brightlie and I played, went to visit Tiffany and her girls, ate ice cream, and played!
WED- Paul spent the day at school doing hw... Brightlie & i had a playdate/hair date with my friend Elisha and her daughter and we had a blast!
THURS- Off to the Zoo!  We spent the morning at the zoo with Chelsea & Danny and had the most exciting time!!!  Brightlie loves spending time with her aunt & uncle, and the wildlife word zoo was quite fabulous!
FRI- date night was spent at one of my fav restaurants, Baci's Italian Bistro.  YUM! oh, and then we went to the ER cuz I thought i may be in labor or having likewise issues--- false alarm!
SAT- today I helped out with my MOM's Club huge yrd. sale, and i hope i made a lot of money! (I was selling a bunch of B's old clothes)
AT THE ZOO!!!  :)
we got to see the animals up close and personal!
 Chelsea . Brightlie . Danny
Lions & Tigers & (no bears), OH MY!
I love B's worried face, but it was so cool that the tiger was about
3 ft. away from us, lying up against the metal fence!
See you later... 7 ft. alligator!
Feeding the giraffe was so much fun!!!
What a fun time with some of our favorite people
Paul and I had a great time, and it was so fun to have
Paul around to spend the day with!

please & thank you

This week was a busy one, and yet i forgot to take pictures among all the hype!  Well, i guess most of the fun happened this weekend.  Friday night we spent the evening hanging out with  Paul's sister Chelsea and her hubby Danny.  Brightlie LOVES all the attention they give her, and we had a blast bbqing and just hanging out at their  apartment.  Then, on Sat. we celebrated the 2nd birthday of Kate & Ellie Stradling, and Brightlie was so excited to go to their party.
Also this week, Paul gt his first official job interview offer, so we are excited to see what this company has to offer.  Paul will be flying over and meeting with them in 2 weeks- yikes!  :)
 Our sweet girl!

Finally, the highlight for the week, was of course, Brightlie.  Sometimes being a mom is hard.  It requires being a maid, a taxi driver, a doctor, a chef, an entertainer, a patience practicer.... and it often doesn't leave much time for me to have "Me Time".  Somedays, especially being 8 months prego, i often feel overwhelmed, tired, and lacking inspiration as to how to make my days more exciting.  Luckily, Brightlie helped remind me of how important motherhood is.  We have been working on saying "peeze" (please) & "Tank you" (thank you) when asking for and receiving things (such as food, movies, books, etc.)  Brightlie is good at it, but usually only when prompted by a reminder, such as "how do we ask?" or "here you go, now what do you say?"  She is getting it, but it is a slow process.  However, on Thurs. morning I was making breakfast and not thinking much of it.  I put it on B's plate and went to grab the juice. Then,  I hear in a clear little voice, "tank you mommy, tank you".  I almost fell over!  I was so proud and it made me almost cry.  I am so thankful for Heavenly Father's simple reminders of how important being a mom is, and for the joy of my sweet little girl who reminded me that the sacrifice of being a stay at home mom is well worth it!
