Dress up

This week was fun and included lots of festive events! It seemed like while we did a lot of fun "dress up" at home, we ended up going out on the town being dressed to impress!  :)
Here is a quick overview!

Out with the girls!  I was invited to my friend Kalina's 28th
birthday "Little Black Dress" dinner party.  It was held at Encanterra
(which is sooooo nice/wealthy) with an amazing clubhouse, which is where we
had a delicious 3 course meal, along with lots of talking and laughing!

Brightlie is my little princess girl!  She woke up
and decided that she wanted to wear her "yellow dress"
and play a game.  Gotta love it!
 (And her adorable bed-head hair!)

Peyton is my little doll!  Oh, she is just getting
cuter and bigger each day!  What a sweetie!

I love getting Brightlie ready for church each week!
She loves picking out which dress she wants to wear,
and then i get to do up her hair.
Her nursery leaders always say how adorably
dressed she is, and what a sweet good girl she is in her class.
Although i pride myself in having B always pressed & dressed from hair to shoes,
the latter compliment truly emulates her real beauty.

Peyton's smile.  It is darling!
I love to see this happy little girl smiling, giggling, and rolling/ maneuvering
around all over the floor (yikes, she will be crawling soon!)
She is such a joy in our home!

I love my little girls.  I love my life.  I love my good husband who compliments me by telling me how much he appreciates the time and energy i put into helping our girls look nice each day.  And i do try to make sure that my girls' wardrobes are well-stocked and organized. I love big hair bows, tutus, sparkly shoes, and daily 'hair do' time. And I know that some may think i'm vain... but i don't think that there is anything wrong with wanting to look nice.  It presents a feminine quality.  (And most of the time, (as adults) one will feel better during their day if they took the time to get up and get ready, vs. chilling with no make-up, crazy hair, and pjs.)  And although outward appearance, hygiene, and taking care of yourself is important, i am also very aware that the prettiest girls are the ones who shine from the inside out!  It's all about personality, kindness, and character. And i hope that my girls are able to learn both of those concepts.

PS. for those who worry that i am making my girls TOO prissy/girly-  who says my Brightlie can't/won't go play in the mud, run jump, kick a ball, scrape her knee in the event of having fun 'being a kid', act like a tom-boy, or even beat all the other little boys in T-ball one day?  ..... i just don't see why she can't do it while wearing HER favorite tutu  : )
