HAPPY 5 YRS!!!!!
Can't believe it's taken me a couple weeks to blog about this.... but, Paul and I celebrated our 5th anniversary together this month! It's so crazy to me that we have been married for 5 yrs. In some ways, it seems like we've been married for forever! Other times, i think, "oh my gosh. Where has the time gone?" Married for 5 yrs., we got 2 kids, we are done with the college stage, Paul is an engineer, we are homeowners, and we are turning 27 this yr.- CRAZY!"
We are best friends. And through these past 5 yrs., we have had some struggles, but we sure have grown as a couple, and as a family. Sometimes life gets us down, and we start to get distracted with silly stressful things, like finances, a rut/routine, chores, bills, crazy kiddos, not enough "date" time, personal trials, etc. But, we always try to talk about it, express how happy we are together, and count our blessings. Because really, we are best friends. And we're hilariously funny. And we love being together and having fun with our little family. Life is good. Can't wait to see what the next 5 yrs. have in store!
Oh, and what did we do for our anniversary to celebrate? Well, we made it simple. Paul bought me some beautiful flowers. Then, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Carrabbas (Italian food- yum!). And, that was pretty much it....
Except for THE CRUISE WE ARE GOING ON NEXT MONTH!!!!
Yep, Paul and I decided that we are celebrating our 5 yrs. together by going on our very first cruise! And, we are leaving the kiddos at home! :) We can't wait! We would have gone in April, but i had to get a passport. So, in May we will enjoy 5 days all to ourselves... Best anniversary present ever!!!!
