the doc prescribed "retail therapy"

Okay, so this past week has been pretty fun, although simple too.  Yet, somehow busy as well.  And although no major catastrophes occurred, this week has seemed stressful, despite lots of fun activities.

 At home...
We decided that we need to paint out house now that Paul
has a job that will keep us here in out home for a few more years!
We are going to be painting and doing all kinds of Pinterest projects
to make our home more trendy!
So we are starting with Peyton's room & the family room.
This is our first time tackling a painting project, and it has been lots of fun!
Can't wait to see it all done, pics to come soon!
Our girls are doing well!  Brightlie is a great big sister, and has asked to
hold Peyton several times this week.  She is also really good
about telling me if Peyton is sad, getting her a binky, or helping me with diaper
chnages!  And Peyton has started smiling more this week, and
responds with enthusiasm to Brightlie's voice!

out & about...
We love going on monthly lunch dates with Nana Biggs-
The girls looked so cute in their matching dresses!
We also played with Tiffany Stradling and her girls (Kate, Ellie & of course,
baby boy Colter) . And B had her friend Mikayla over this week, and Aunt Chelsea
came to play/visit this week too!  So we had lots of fun with our friends!

on my mind...
I have done a lot of thinking this is week. Here is my epiphany:  Life is like shopping.  (Yep, leave it to me to come to this conclusion).  Shopping.... sometimes you go to the mall and you find great deals!  Other times, you are having a fat day and nothing looks right, fits right, and by the end of your trip you feel like crap, and you may even cry.  But, there is always another sale around the corner if you search.  And sometimes you have to just go with the flow, and hope to get lucky and possibly find some great stuff. And although sometimes you may have a bad shopping day, it's not like you can just never go out to a store again.  You just have to try again another day.  :)  hahaha- so that is my analogy for the week- enjoy.

Basically, this week i have really had a hard time being patient with my kiddos.  And not even a hard time being patient as much as just wanting and needing some space away from them, to just breathe and be me for two seconds.  Sometimes being a Mom just feels overwhelming! So, to in order to re-group, i decided to go on a well-deserved, doctor's orders (yep, i'm a doctor now, didn't you know?), get out of the house and have some "me time",  RETAIL THERAPY.  It truly heals the soul.  :)  (Mine anyways!)
at Last Chance: my AMAZING shopping deals

So, today Paul graciously babysat (Peyton, Brightlie, and B's friend Mikayla) so that my friend Elisha and I could go on a shopping date. let me tell you, it was amazing!!!!  We went to Last Chance and i am officially addicted!  (Last Chance is the mark-downs from Nordstrom!)   i was so happy about the clothes i found, and it was so great to have Elisha with me- she loves to shop just as much as me!!!!  I finally got some "me time" and it was just what i needed!   Let a new week begin!
