Enjoying the Sun!

This week Brightlie and I were thrilled that the weather was a beautiful 78 degrees! In February?!  Wonderful!  So we made the most of it by busting out some bright colored spring clothes,
BBQing on the grill for dinner, playing at the park, and visiting Schnepf Farms with our
besties, Tiffany, Kate, & Ellie.

 What a goofy girl!  :)

Helping with chores (which she LOVES) in her Cinderella
costume (how appropriate, right?!)  She is helping me stick with my
new cleaning schedule that should keep my house cleaner :

M- Laundry (2-3 loads) & vaccum
T- Both bathrooms, completely (sinks, toilet, floors, tub/shower, towels, etc.)
W- Kitchen (wipe counters, sweep/mop, dishes)
Th- All surfaces dusted (all rooms, fans, floorboards, pictures, etc.) & B's laundry
F- Vaccum, Fabreeze couches

B is an excellent self-swinger... she loves to swing on her tummy, and
gets quite the height just using her legs to jump/propel her into the air!

B was happy to see her dog Noel, who is now
living with my Aunt at Schnepf Farms.  Noel is happy there on the
farm and it's great that we can visit her!

This week, to be honest, was a bummer.  I truly felt like it was one of those weeks where I was trying my best to feel closer to the Spirit and yet, everywhere I turned there was some person there
trying to bring me down, insult me, or just be cause me stress and discouragement.
But, I also was able to have some really great phone calls/conversations that
helped me feel better, and let me know that I am an important Child of God.  It helped me remember that it is my choice to allow other to make me feel bad, and instead of getting offended,
i need to ignore toxic comments, and focus on people who truly accept me and
help build me up, not tear me down.
Part of my epiphany came from going to my friend Leigh's house for a Girl's Night, which was much needed  (w/out the kiddos!). I always enjoy girl nights, usually cuz I learn a new craft, but mostly because I get to hear the thoughts and opinions of my gfs.  We talked mostly about parenting, or course, and it is always nice to get different view points and perspectives.  Naturally, we don't all agree.  We are all individuals, who have different views on discipline, Nursing, life, etc. But, we all have very different lives as well, with unique struggles, trials, and ideas.  And though I know that sometimes people (humans in general) have a hard time seeing another's view, I personally think it is good to learn from others, and take/apply what I think is relevant and politely ignore the rest.  I know that each of my friends is a good person who loves their children immensely, and that is what truly matters.  I'm glad i have good "momma" friends who I can go to with questions, for advice, and for support.
Life is about being happy, and finding joy as we strive to
become like our Savior.  Anything that is not helping us to
achieve that is not worthy of our time or attention. :)
